In May, NingHang Group reached a major milestone in its globalization strategy — NingHang (Pakistan) Overseas Development Co. and NingHang (Ghana) Overseas Development Co. simultaneously commenced operations. This is a substantive step into South Asian and African emerging markets, and a key move in building a Belt-and-Road low-altitude service network.
Dual-Track Overseas, Localized Delivery
The two overseas companies will focus on four business lines — UAV product sales, technical training, government/enterprise projects, and talent cultivation — under a "local team + Chinese technology + global standards" operating model:
- Pakistan: agricultural spraying, power-line inspection, and security counter-measures for South Asia's low-altitude upgrade. Year-one targets: 200 spraying UAVs delivered, 300 local pilots trained, participation in the Sindh agricultural-modernization program;
- Ghana: surveying, emergency rescue, and infrastructure digitization across West Africa. A surveying cooperation intent has been signed with the Accra municipal government, covering over 10,000 km²;
- Talent exchange: local trainees attend CAAC programs in China, with Chinese engineers stationed long-term on-site — "teaching to fish."
"The future of the low-altitude economy is global collaboration. NingHang exports not just products, but capability and talent." — Head of Overseas Business.
Why Pakistan and Ghana?
The choice rests on three pillars — demand, policy, and channels:
- Demand: Pakistan holds the world's fourth-largest arable land with massive need for spraying UAVs; Ghana is a West African gateway with urgent infrastructure and emergency-rescue digitization needs;
- Policy: both countries list low-altitude economy and agricultural modernization as national strategies, open to foreign technology partnerships;
- Channels: established local partnerships built through prior trade-cooperation channels enable rapid deployment.
Next: Middle East and Southeast Asia
These two companies are only the start. Between H2 2026 and 2027, the Group will continue evaluating the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, UAE) and Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Thailand), replicating the "local company + technical training + government/enterprise projects" model to ultimately build a Belt-and-Road low-altitude service network.
"China's low-altitude technology and supply chain are now globally competitive," said NingHang founder Liang Chengze. "We want NingHang to be the bridge between Chinese low-altitude capability and global demand — bringing China's sky technology to industries worldwide."
